Thus, this medical examination applies to employees on permanent contracts (CDI), fixed-term contracts (CDD), apprentices, even for short periods, and temporary agency workers. Interns, however, are excluded.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As an exception, for certain employees this examination must be carried out <span style=\"color: #e09900;\">before they are assigned to their workstation.<\/span> This concerns night workers, individuals under the age of 18, those exposed to certain biological agents (Group 2), and those exposed to electromagnetic fields and assigned to positions where exposure levels exceed the limits set by law.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0 The purpose of the information and prevention visit is in particular:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>To question the employee<\/strong> about his\/her state of health;<\/li>\n<li>To <strong>inform him\/her of the possible risks<\/strong> to which his\/her workstation exposes him\/her;<\/li>\n<li><strong>To raise awareness<\/strong> on the means of prevention to be implemented;<\/li>\n<li>To identify whether his\/her state of health or the risks to which he\/she is exposed <strong>require referral to the occupational physician<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>To inform him\/her of the methods of monitoring his\/her state of health<\/strong> by the service and of the possibility at any time to benefit from a visit at his\/her request with the occupational physician.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During this visit, a medical file is opened by the health professional.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the end of any information and prevention visit, the health professional issues a <strong>follow-up certificate<\/strong> to the employee and the employer.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: large; color: #0c71c3;\"><strong>1.2 The renewal of the information and prevention visit during the contract<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The information and prevention visit is renewed at intervals which may not exceed <strong>5 years<\/strong> by the health service.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<em><\/em><span style=\"color: #0c71c3;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: x-large;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_image src=&#8221;https:\/\/www.groupe-aplitec.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/Capture-decran-2026-03-02-162540.jpg&#8221; title_text=&#8221;Capture d\u2019\u00e9cran 2026-03-02 162540&#8243; _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.6&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; min_height=&#8221;171px&#8221; custom_padding=&#8221;||0px|||&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;][\/et_pb_image][et_pb_text _builder_version=&#8221;4.27.5&#8243; _module_preset=&#8221;default&#8221; global_colors_info=&#8221;{}&#8221; theme_builder_area=&#8221;post_content&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This period takes into account the working conditions, age and state of health of the employee, the risks to which he is exposed which will be fixed by the occupational physician as part of the protocol he must establish.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">For <strong>disabled, or night workers<\/strong>, the maximum period between visits is 3 years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #e09900;\">Penalty: under the employer\u2019s health and safety obligations, failure to arrange this examination exposes the employer to a fifth-class fine, and even to a term of imprisonment in the event of a repeat offence within three years.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: xx-large; text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>2. The mid-career visit<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The mid-career medical examination is organised over the calendar year of the employee&#8217;s 45th birthday. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The objective of the mid-career visit is:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To establish <strong>an inventory of the adequacy between the workstation and the state of health of the worker<\/strong>, taking into account the exposures to occupational risk factors to which he has been subjected.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To assess <strong>the risks of professional <\/strong><strong>deintegration<\/strong>, taking into account the evolution of the worker&#8217;s abilities according to his\/her professional background, age and state of health.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To raise workers&#8217; awareness of <strong>the issues of aging at work<\/strong> and the prevention of occupational risks.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During this visit, the health professional may propose individual measures for the adaptation, or transformation of the workstation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">A certificate of attendance must be issued.<\/span><\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: xx-large; color: #000000;\"><strong><u>3.\u00a0The pre-resumption visit<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/h1>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The pre-resumption visit concerns workers on <strong>sick leave for more than 30 days.<\/strong> \u00a0For work stoppages that began before March 31st, 2022, the pre-resumption visit was organized from 3 months of stoppage and was mandatory.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">This visit is <strong>optional;<\/strong> it is part of an objective to promote maintenance in employment. \u00a0It is organized <strong>during the work stoppage<\/strong> as soon as the state of health of the employee makes it possible to envisage a resumption of professional activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">It may be requested by the employee himself, the attending physician, the medical officer of the health Insurance or the occupational physician.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">During the examination, the occupational physician may recommend:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Workstation adjustments and adaptations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Adjustments to working hours<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Reclassification recommendations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Vocational training to be organised in order to facilitate the worker&#8217;s redeployment or professional reorientation.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: xx-large;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">4. The work resumption visit\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: large; color: #0c71c3;\"><strong>4.1 The purpose of the work resumption visit<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0 <span style=\"color: #000000;\">The purpose of the resumption visit is :<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To verify whether the workstation to be taken over by the worker or the outplacement position to which he\/she is to be assigned is <strong>compatible with his\/her state of health<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To examine the proposals for <strong>adaptation of the position<\/strong> taken over by the worker, or for redeployment made by the employer following the recommendations issued if necessary by the occupational physician during the pre-resumption visit<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To recommend <strong>the <\/strong><strong>adaptation, of<\/strong><strong> the position or the redeployment<\/strong> of the worker<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To issue, if applicable, <strong>a notice of incapacity<\/strong> \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: large; color: #0c71c3;\"><strong>4.2 The absences concerned<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The resumption visit is <strong>mandatory <\/strong>for employees absent after:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Maternity leave<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Absence due to occupational disease<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An absence of at least 30 days due to an accident at work<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">An absence of at least 60 days due to illness or non-occupational accident (for work stoppages that began before March 31st 2022)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">As soon as he becomes aware of the date of the end of the work stoppage, the employer organizes this visit for the employee concerned with the prevention and health service at work. Thus, the examination will take place on the day of the <strong>resumption of work or at the latest within 8 days of <\/strong>this resumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline; font-size: xx-large;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000; text-decoration: underline;\">5. The &#8220;liaison meeting&#8221;<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The liaison appointment <strong>is not a medical examination<\/strong>, it allows contact between the employer and the employee during his\/her work stoppage.
